I’m developing an android application that need to do something very similar of what you have done.

I need to update the view of my widget accordingly with a status that I will get from the database, it’s almost a toggle widget. Like yours, but the status comes from the DB.

I don’t know how to run the onUpdate from a click in the widget.

I just binded the onclick of an image in the widget with a pendingIntent that launches a Service, but the service is not able to update the widget view (at least I haven’t see how to do that) and I don’t know how to bind the onUpdate with the widget click.
